Ageless body timeless mind? Cup champions, The Detroit Red Wings signed Chris Chelios to a one year contract. This coming season (Chris's 25th NHL season), he will celebrate his 47th birthday. Maybe Mats Sundin should have a beer with Chris and learn all there is to know about not retiring. Go Chelios Go!
Not One, but Two Sean Avery Items
Okay, Dallas Star Sean Avery is on everybody's trash talk list for for his recent modeling stint in a Gap ad. Now we hear New Line Cimema is making a romantic comedy based on Avery's internship with Vogue Magazine. As much as some hockey fans out there are making fun of Avery for his fashion passion, we gotta give the guy some credit: everytime he pursues his other dreams, it's more publicity for the game we love.

Yes, that’s right – me! More Hockey on the Big Screen
Duane “The Rock” Johnson will begin filming The Tooth Fairy next week in Vancouver Canada. It’s a hockey movie telling the story of an enforcer, played by Johnson, nicknamed the Tooth Fairy and I am really not sure of the rest: details are sketchy. Ashley Judd is set to star opposite The Rock. I am working on getting cast as an extra. Wish me luck.

The Vancouver Canucks finally announced the game date for Trevor Linden’s official retirement ceremony, complete with his sweater heading up to the rafters. As luck would have it, the Edmonton Oilers are the visiting team on Wed. December17th, 2008. Those guys always seem to be sitting through ceremonies…
